Site measure & defect list
Site notes are in photos, voice notes and on paper. Things get lost before the office or the workshop sees them.
Steps

On site, take a photo of each wall or problem. Put a tape measure in the photo when you can. Number the photos.

Say each note in a voice note: room, wall or item, and the number in mm. For example: 'Kitchen, wall A, ceiling height 2405 left, 2412 right'.

Turn the voice notes into text on your phone. iPhone Voice Memos can show a transcript (iPhone 12 or later with iOS 18 or later). Google Recorder on Pixel phones can also transcribe.

Make a clean site list from these notes. Type: <MEASURE or DEFECT>. Job: <job name, suburb only>. Notes: <paste transcript> Output a table: Room, Wall or item, Measurement in mm (exactly as said) OR Defect, Photo number, Action needed, Who (workshop / installer / builder / client), Urgent (Y/N). Do not change or round any number. If a number or word is unclear, write CHECK. Do not take any measurement from photos.

Check every number against your notes and photos. Fix the CHECK lines before you leave site, if you can.

Send the list to the office, or add it to the job in your job app (for example ServiceM8 or Fergus).
