Steps
- 1
Make a sheet with these columns: Supplier, Product type, % change, Start date, Link, Rate card updated (Y/N).
- 2
When you get a price notice, paste it in:
Prompt to copy
Extract every price change from this supplier notice into a table: Supplier, Product category, % or $ change, Effective date, Exclusions. Use only what the notice says; if something is unclear write UNCLEAR. Notice: <paste>
- 3
Copy the rows into your sheet. Update your rate card the same day.
- 4
Once a month, ask:
Prompt to copy
Here are my open quotes (quote no, date, main materials) and my price-change log: <paste>. Which open quotes include materials that increased after the quote date? List them with the increase.
